Color Your Kitchen

There are no rules when it comes to making your color choice. Popular colors which are know to create a cheery atmosphere or increase appetite include sunny yellow, peach, terra cotta or citrus lime green. Examples of these PARA colors are: Ginger (P5055-41), Breakfast Quiche (P5064-34), Dined Late (P5126-85) and Lime Soda (P5042-52).

Another stylish approach to the kitchen is the classic Black & White combination. This is a big trend we will see make its way back into homes during 2010 and beyond.

The kitchen is one of the highest traffic areas in your home. It's important to choose a paint that is both stain resistant and washable. Semi-Gloss paints are recommended for kitchens due to their durablility and shine. (PARA Ultra Semi-Gloss or Ultra Kitchen & Bath are both good options.)

If you prefer a lower sheen however, PARA does have an eggshell finish that performs like a semi-gloss. PARA's top line Elite Ceramic is an excellent choice for the kitchen due to its superior stain resistance and washability.

COLOURS MAKE A PUNCHY COMEBACK…

In the past Canadians have opted with comforting, warm neutrals like browns and beiges for paint colors in their homes.
